Just as we were nearing our decision to establish JESUS NAME PROJECT, the Lord provided a wonderful confirmation. We were sitting in church one Sunday morning when a visiting minister read one single verse, Habbakuk 2:2 (TLB).

"Then the Lord said to me, 'Write My answer in large clear letters on a billboard, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else.' "

Neither of us had read from The Living Bible paraphrase for many years. We surely didn't know that the word "billboard" was in any version. The next week we called the advertising firm we'd been negotiating with and rented our first two billboards.

On Thanksgiving of 1999 we drove out to see first two signs. When we saw the first 14' X 48' billboard with nothing on it except the big bold letters JESUS, we pulled off the road and wept for joy. It was a Thanksgiving we shall never forget.
